1: Do you have idols in your life? 2: An idol is something that has become more important than God. 3: It can be something that consumes your thoughts. - What are you obsessing over? What is your mind naturally thinking about in your free time? 4: It can be something that you can't imagine living without. - If God asked you to lay that thing down, would you be able to surrender it? 5: It can be something that gets your attention more than God. - You make more time for it and don't make your time with the Lord optional. 6: It can be something that determines your emotions. - It has the power to determine your peace. 7: If something came to mind while reading these slides, God is exposing it not to bring condemnation but freedom. 8: Pray: "Lord, thank you for showing me what I have placed above you. Help me to steward the blessings you've given me without worshipping them. Teach me to always keep You in Your rightful place in my life. Amen.
