Choose to trust God in the middle of what you don’t understand

Psalm 127:2. God literally built rest into creation. Then had to remind us to actually do it. Slide 4: Don't overthink it. Proverbs 3:5-6. Trust God instead of leaning on your own understanding. We needed that in writing. Slide 5: Be a good neighbor. Matthew 22:39. Love your neighbor as yourself. Still the hardest thing on this list. Slide 6: Mind your own business. 1 Thessalonians 4:11. Yes. That is actually in the Bible. Word for word. Slide 7: Be grateful. 1 Thessalonians 5:18. In everything give thanks. Not for everything. In everything. There's a difference. Slide 8: God cares about your whole life. Not just the Sunday parts.

Slide 1: God doesn’t backtrack. Slide 2: He doesn’t contradict Himself. Slide 3: What He said, He meant. Slide 4: What He promised, He will do. Slide 5: You can build your life on that kind of truth.

Holiness isn’t a Sunday thing. It’s an everyday thing.

"The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight." - Proverbs 9:10 Slide 3: Wisdom is to be actively sought out. "If you seek it like silver and search for it as for hidden treasures, then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God." - Proverbs 2:4-5 Slide 4: God gives wisdom generously. "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him." - James 1:5

Slide 1: Before Labor Day existed, God talked about work. Slide 2: Work was God's idea before the fall. It was never the punishment. (Genesis 2:15) Slide 3: Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord. (Colossians 3:23) Slide 4: God Himself worked six days and rested on the seventh. The rhythm was built in on purpose. Slide 5: Your work is not separate from your faith. It is an expression of it. Slide 6: The goal was never to work less. It was to work with meaning. Slide 7: Happy Labor Day. Go rest. You've earned it. God modeled that too.

Slide 1: You are so valuable. Slide 2: God paid attention to every detail when He formed you. Slide 3. God gave his very best for you. Slide 4. You are fearfully and wonderfully made. Slide 5: You were designed with a purpose in mind. Slide 6: You are so so so so valuable.
