The love of God is perfectly displayed in Him sending His own son into the world, a sacrifice, to bring us life through Him. Where we earned death, Jesus earned life on our behalf.

Love isn't just a nice feeling we get when someone does something good for us. Love is a sacrificial giving of one's self. If you want the perfect example, look at what Jesus did for us.
