As believers, we celebrate when justice comes for those who are oppressed. The Bible talks a lot about God being a God of justice, of freedom, and of liberation.

Here's the crazy thing about the Juneteenth story: The slaves had been set free; they just hadn't been told yet. We celebrate when they finally found out. And what a cool comparison to our lives as believers. We were freed; we just needed to be told and to accept it.
