Ever wonder how to disagree with someone online and actually make progress?
Try this.
Never say: "I couldn't disagree with you more." There's actually a good chance you agree on a lot.
Never say: "You only think that way because..." That's dismissive.
Never say: "You're wrong." That causes people to become defensive.
Instead, empathize with why people believe the way they do. Look for common ground and areas where you agree.
Better yet, meet up for coffee and have a friendly conversation. Online is a horrible place to try and change someone's mind.
The Bible says without love we are nothing. So make sure and put a whole lot of love in there!
